Come and join the pilgrimage! This is a collaboration between the Tromsø Cathedral and the Arctic Cathedral. We meet in the parking place at the Elvestrand graveyard (continue from the camping), and walk together for ca 45 minutes to the “lavvu”.

Organ recital
In week 25-30 there will be daily organ concerts Tuesday – Sunday at 14:00-14:30 h by the cathedral organist Linde Mothes. The concert is included in the entrance ticket of NOK 70. No additional booking needed. Welcome!

Sing hymn with us
Welcome to sing Advent and Christmas hymns from the old and the new Norwegian hymn books. We will make booklets with hymns, but feel free to bring your own hymn book. Coffee afterwards.

Singing Together Norwegian Hymns
Welcome to sing together hymns from an elder Norwegian hymnbook – Landstads salmebok!
We are celebrating 150 years anniversary of Landstads salmebok with two sing-along evenings and one Sunday service in the Arctic Cathedral.
The singing together evenings take place on
Tuesday 23rd of May at 18:00 / 6pm, and on
Tuesday 28th of May at 18:00 / 6pm.
Our cantors Linde Mothes and Kristian Paulsen will give us a short introduction of hymns, but the main focus is in singing together.
We will sing hymns from Landstads salmebok also on
Sunday 9th of June at 11:00 / 11am at Whit Sunday Service.
Welcome to sing hymns together and experience the joy of music!
NB! The hymns and the evening will be held in Norwegian, but you are warmly welcome to sing with us, to learn some Norwegian hymns and to enjoy the universal language of music!
Initiation of the newly restored chandeliers
During the summer, the three chandeliers have been restored. The crystal has been cleaned, the light bulbs have been replaced with led light bulbs, and the electrical system has been redone. The chandeliers have now come back and are hung up again – and we will mark this by inviting to a small gathering. It will be possible to hear more about the work that has been done. Welcome!
