Grønnåsen church choir – psalm 130

Psalm 130, “From the Deep” is a desperate plea for forgiveness. The text has been interpreted and set to music several times through the years, and Grønnåsen church choir presents a selection of these. The main work in the concert is Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantata 131 for choir, soloists and Baroque Orchestra. We also hear the older and newer interpretations of the same text.

Grønnåsen church choir currently consists of around 18 singers and is located in Grønnåsen Church in Tromsø. This concert  is with orchestra. The choir’s conductor is Hanne–Sofie Akselsen. Soloists are Paul Kirby (tenor) and Thomas Røshol (bass).
